That Little Spot of Red is an independently owned fine paper and gifts store located in the Connecticut River Valley. We opened in March of 2006, on a beautiful winter day and have striven to be the store where you find not just what you were looking for but what you want. It will always be important to celebrate special occasions and special people. We are happy to help you do that, even when the celebration is just about you. We care about quality and history. It’s not just gift wrap; it’s for your mom’s birthday. It’s not just a card, it’s for your best friend from camp. It’s not just a pen, it’s for your daughter who’s starting college. We get it, and we want you to have it.
The name “That Little Spot of Red” was inspired by the comic strip “Zippy the Pinhead,” as well as by nature.
A word about being “green”: being green is about being responsible for each other, our planet, and our natural resources. Paper companies have led the way in this movement by using recycled paper or paper from sustainable forests, soy inks, wind or water-powered electricity, and by reusing their water and recycling waste wherever possible. That Little Spot of Red makes an effort to do its part as well — stocking recycled products and recycling as much waste as we can.
